FLUX 3 Image Klein License

Identify which agreement applies before using weights, distributing a derivative or publishing a generated image. The full publisher terms remain the authority.

The Klein name alone does not identify an agreement. In particular, the Apache 2.0 license of FLUX.2 Klein 4B does not apply to the FLUX 3 weights. Start with the Distilled license or Base license attached to the repository you intend to use.

Commercial outputs have conditions

The FLUX Kommunity License defines qualifying users using gross annualized revenue below US$5 million, including affiliates. Its commercial-output grant is conditional: content filtering or review, legally required AI disclosures and the license's restrictions still apply. The threshold is not permission for every commercial activity.

Weights, derivatives and generated outputs are distinct. The license says BFL claims no ownership of outputs, but you remain responsible for their use. Redistribution has notice requirements, and training another model that performs similar functions is restricted. Read the full agreement for the scope and exceptions.

When the standard grant does not fit

Check BFL's commercial licensing options for uses outside the grant. Do not infer a commercial model license from access to a download, a free demo or an unrelated subscription.

Record the decision before starting a project

  1. Name the exact checkpoint or hosted service. Keep its repository revision and terms link with the project.
  2. Describe the intended use. Producing an image for a client, redistributing weights and training a model are different activities.
  3. Check your organization. Include affiliates when the relevant agreement asks for them; keep the basis for your eligibility.
  4. Review inputs and outputs. Confirm permission for reference photos, branding and personal likenesses. Check errors before publication.
  5. Keep required notices. Follow the applicable agreement's redistribution, attribution and disclosure conditions.

This checklist helps organize the review; it does not replace the publisher's binding agreement or grant additional rights. Local installation details belong in the download guide and local setup guide.

What your studio purchase covers

Flux3Klein is the website name at flux3klein.com. Paid plans retain the Rendastic Studio billing name, and Stripe card checkout uses the RedditSonar merchant account. Buying credits pays for generation service through the editor; it does not transfer model weights, issue a separate commercial license or promise exclusive rights in an image.

Review our Terms of Use, refund and cancellation policy and provider-processing disclosures. For direct integration, use the BFL API service terms linked from the publisher's website. Our studio does not become the model publisher because it calls that API.

A few things to know

Frequently asked questions

Are the FLUX 3 Image Klein weights under Apache 2.0?

No. The released Klein and Klein Base weights use the FLUX Kommunity License. FLUX.2 Klein 4B has separate Apache 2.0 terms; the shared Klein name does not transfer that license to FLUX 3.

Does revenue below US$5 million automatically permit every commercial use?

No. The license defines qualifying users using combined gross annualized revenue with affiliates, but that threshold is only one condition. The commercial-output grant, content filtering or review, disclosure duties and restrictions also apply.

Does buying studio credits give me a model license?

No. Payment buys the website’s generation service credits. It does not transfer weights, grant exclusive image rights or issue an additional commercial license. Check the selected provider’s terms and your intended use.

Is Flux3Klein affiliated with Black Forest Labs?

No. Flux3Klein is an independent studio and guide. FLUX is a Black Forest Labs trademark. Our primary image model uses the official BFL API, and this website does not claim to be the model publisher.
